Keeping Up with Innovation – A Global Perspective

IGOR, Lifelong Learning Centre in Nature IGOR organized an interactive workshop on April 15, 2025, aimed at providing tools for fostering innovation—from mindset to market. The workshop, titled “Challenge the Status Quo: Innovation – Turning Curiosity Into Action”, was held in English under the expert guidance of Kristina Đurkić, MSc, Head of Industry StartUp & Growth at Kjeller Innovasjon, Norway.

Participants included students from India (Cochin University of Science and Technology), Georgia (Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University), and student Luka Madžarević (Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega, Tourism study program), accompanied by Assistant Professor Katarina Štavlić, PhD, course coordinator for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega.

Kristina Đurkić, MSc, supports the growth of innovative companies and deep-tech startups. With over 20 years in research, innovations and in business development, she has worked across various industries—from advanced materials and energy to space technology. Kristina also enjoys sharing her insights as a speaker and lecturer on innovation and entrepreneurship.

This was put in the action today, as the workshop resulted in engaged students with bold and ambitious ideas as well as creative solutions for real problems! A big thank you to Kristina for an exceptionally valuable and well-designed interactive workshop, filled with practical examples and exercises… 💚
