IGOR

The students of class 4.b, accompanied by their teacher and teaching assistant, went on a fieldwoek on October 10, 2025, to the Štavlić family estate in Marindvor. The educational program began with exploring the plant and animal life of the meadow. Then, using natural materials and colors, the students created an “insect hotel.” The lesson continued in a nearby forest, where the students identified different types of trees and other plants, investigated which insects live in the forest, and played a game called the forest food chain. Besides learning, the students enjoyed playing in nature, jumping over natural obstacles, singing, and dancing.
Happy and cheerful, they returned home singing.

On Friday, September 26, 2025, students from special classes and groups visited the Center for Lifelong Learning IGOR in Marindvor. Our kind hosts prepared interesting activities for us, including making musical instruments and decorations from natural materials, and they also treated us to their homemade elderflower juice. Not even the rain could spoil our fun or the wonderful ending to the week.

An excellent lecture by Lovro Pavletić, mag. phys., from the Department of Physics, University of Rijeka, about the Global Meteor Network – scientific instruments on a planetary scale.

Lovro shared his extensive knowledge with us, conveying his love and passion for studying celestial bodies and cosmic phenomena. Meteoroid, meteorite, meteoroid trail, ablation… these are just some of the concepts explained in an engaging and interactive way during the lecture.
